The Alliance for Women in Media SoCal will recognize the 58th Annual Genii Awards Honorees during a special ceremony to be held in Los Angeles. The Genii Awards honor women in our industry for their pioneering efforts, leadership, and commitment to excellence and dedication to our community.

Since 1952, Alliance for Women in Media’s Southern California Affiliate has presented the highest honor, the Genii (pronounced "Jeannie") Award, in the name of Affiliate Founder, Jeanne Gray McDonald. The award acknowledges the notable achievements of excellence by women in media and entertainment.

All donations for the Genii Award program benefits AWM SoCal Foundation’s scholarship program which provides financial assistance to promising college students aiming for careers in the media and entertainment industries.

The star-studded Gala has featured honorees, guests and presenters including Cloris Leachman, Betty White, Rita Moreno, Florence Henderson, Holly Robinson Peete, Ellen K, Maria Shriver, Mary Hart, Amy Powell, Wenda Fong, Felicity Huffman, Eva La Rue, and many more.
